Thanksgiving will be celebrated very late in November because the month of November started on Friday. This simply means if the celebration is going to be observed on the fourth Thursday of November, it will definitely fall on the 28th of November. However, the fact that the celebration is coming very late this year does not translate to anything; neither is it going to affect anything.

This is not the first time this would be happening, instances like this had been experienced in the past, and it will continue to happen until the government comes out with a particular date. Thanksgiving is a period of enjoyment for most people because it is a free day for every day; students won't go to school, and workers will have the opportunity to sit at home with their families. The fact that Black Friday is happening the next day is another important aspect of the celebration because a lot of people will use that day to prepare for Black Friday.

Thanksgiving is so late this year because November started on a Friday, which means that the fourth Friday of this year will happen on the 28th of November. There are some people who are a bit confused by this because if they would just base it on the calendar, they may think that it should be earlier.

There was a time when Thanksgiving was celebrated on the last Thursday of November, but this was officially changed to the 4th Thursday of November regardless of whether this is the last Thursday or not.

Some people are quite happy that it is going to happen late this year mainly because they feel that they will still have more time to prepare for the holiday.

Thanksgiving is usually celebrated in the United States of America on the fourth Thursday of November every year. But for this year, the celebration will definitely come very late, not actually because the date for its celebration has been changed, but because the fourth Thursday is on the 28th of November.

This is actually the first time since 2013 to have the celebration this late. For this year, November started on Friday, and this is exactly why this year's Thanksgiving celebration is coming so late. Issues like this are always experienced because there is no fixed date for the Thanksgiving celebration.

In 1939, because there were five Thursdays in November, then-president Franklin Roosevelt had to change the date to the second to last Thursday of November. So many people were not pleased with the move even after so many attempts by the president to justify his action.
