An excel workbook is different from excel worksheet. For those that do not know much about excel, they think, but excel workbook and excel worksheet are synonymous.
Excel workbook is the entire book or document. The synonym to this is an excel file. Each excel document is regarded as a book.
By default, a new excel workbook is saved as book one until you change this to the desired title.
Excel worksheet is a single sheet on the workbook. It is organized in a tabular form with rows and columns.
It is possible to have multiple worksheets in a single workbook. The first worksheet is saved as “sheet 1” by default.
The best way to understand the difference between these two is to use the illustration of a book. An excel workbook is the entire book, and the worksheets are pages in the book.
