Beauty or blemish balm, commonly known as BB creams, a trend started from Asia but is now popular across the globe. BB creams are makeup formulations that have skincare features such as anti-oxidant properties and sun protection factor.

BB creams have a lighter coverage than foundations but more coverage than tinted moisturizers. Color correcting or complexion correcting cream, commonly known as CC creams, are multipurpose creams.

Unlike the BB creams, CC creams cover more imperfections such as redness, hyperpigmentation, aging, dull complexion, acne, and dark spots. CC creams also contain more pigment than BB creams to help mask discoloration that might be present on the skin.

In summary, BB creams focus more on skincare benefits in makeup products while CC creams have features of BB creams along with correcting properties.

BB cream stands for blemish balm or beauty balm. CC stands for color corrector or complexion corrector cream. Both are important skin-perfecting and nourishing alphabet creams, and both are known for their enormous benefits in comparison to the traditional foundations and tinted moisturizers.

BB cream came on the scene first. It is lighter than foundation but thicker than a tinted moisturizer. It is also comprised of more skin-nourishing ingredients that could replace the concealer, moisturizer, primer, and foundation. It works perfectly as a layer under the foundation.

BB cream gives the least amount of coverage. It is denser than CC cream. The SPF content in the cream protects it from UV rays. BB cream is appropriate for teenagers, while CC cream is for older women with skin issues.
