Although Bigg Boss has remained a popular show over the years, some don't take it seriously as when it first premiered. A lot has changed during the thirteen seasons it has been on the air. One reason why some may say Bigg Boss sucks is that they may feel it is not as realistic as a reality show should be.
Many reality shows are based on the viewer, in that the viewer has a vote in deciding who stays and goes home. With Bigg Boss, this is determined by the people in the home, which leads some viewers to believe the producers decide the winner.
The speculation that Bigg Boss is a scripted reality show is the reason why people don't take the TV show very serious, like how it used to be in the past. It is very disheartening to know that people's vote does not count as to who leaves or stays in the Bigg Boss house. I have always maintained that it is Bigg Boss that decides who wins the show and not the public.
To me, I think a reality show should be both informative and entertaining, but Bigg Boss focuses mainly on entertaining people, while it is totally rare for you to see something to learn from it. Also, a lot of people have criticized the show, saying the reality show is reducing the moral standards and the cultural values of the Indian society. This is really not healthy for the society considering the fact that children and minors are also watching the show together with their parents.
