The old testament is focused more on the story of God and how He has created the world. This also shows stories on how He was able to save certain people from harm like the time when he wanted to get the Israelites out of Egypt. The old testament showed a type of God that is very much different from the new testament.
The God in the old testament seems to be angrier, probably because people have lost their way and have forgotten Him, their creator. In the new testament, it showed how Jesus, the son of God, was able to make a lot of people repent and become worthy of going to heaven again.
The old testament and new testament are both included in the bible. The old testament does not speak to the gospels. On the other hand, it tells us why the Jews were in search of the messiah. The messiah is recognized as Jesus of Nazareth due to the stories in the old testament. There are many details about his birth, death, and resurrection.
The old testament displays mostly only the wrath and condemnation of God, and it does not convey his forgiveness. The New Testament presents the gospels for us. In the New Testament, there is hope and faith that God granted commandments as a possible means of salvation. The New Testament demonstrates God's grace toward sinners, which is the more popular version and is suitable for learning.
