If in case you are not familiar with what the “neck” and “bridge” are, these are some of the areas of the guitar or the electric guitar that can be played. They usually produce different sounds that can fit in with the type of song that you would like to play.

The bridge pickup will usually have a lighter and softer sound as compared to the neck pickup because there would be fewer vibrations available. The bridge pickup is used when there is a need for more treble while the neck pickup is used when people would like to hear more rounded tones and fuller sounds.

Pickup is a word that is utilized referring to stringed musical instruments where their vibrations are picked up by transducers that are placed in their bridge or neck. The purpose of the transductor is to pick up frequencies from the stringed instrument and later translate the vibrations into electrical signals. The position of the pickup on the stringed instrument is of massive importance.

It is evident to most people that a neck pickup has lesser turns of wire than a bridge pickup. It is enough for a neck pickup to have a lower output, and the sound appears to be sharper than the sound output of a bridge pickup. Vibrating string travels broader at the neck than at the bridge, thereby allowing the pickup device to pick up more of lower frequencies and sounds.
