The iPad works almost similarly to phones. It will allow people to access different games and various apps easily. They can also use it to download ebooks and read the ebooks whenever and where they are. The Kindle is primarily used in order to store various ebooks. This is recommended for people who love to read different types of books.

They can just download the ebooks and not worry about the spaces that will be consumed by having many physical books at home. The iPad is considered to be more practical by a lot of people especially if they do not like storing a lot of ebooks anyway, but some people still like the Kindle more for reading because it makes them feel like they are reading actual books, but they can adjust the brightness, the font size, and so much more easily.

The most notable difference between the Kindle and the iPad is the type of screen that is used. The iPad uses a touch screen LCD, which is common in tablet PCs and even particular laptops. On the other hand, the Kindle uses e-ink technology that replicates the look of the paper. The iPad screen is superior because it can display colors, videos, and it has the backlight that allows you to use it in the dark.

The screen of Kindle can only exhibit different shades of grey, which limits it's potential; however, its claim to fame is the minimal amount of eye strain you get when reading. The Kindle does not have a touch-sensitive screen, but the iPad does. Also, the battery life of the Kindle is far greater than that of the iPad.
