Some may use "job" and "work" interchangeably, but they have some differences that should be noted. When you say a job, this will refer to a specific task that needs to be done. A job may also refer to your current profession. For example, when you say that your occupation is a doctor, then you are telling people that that is what you do. When you say "work," this is more general.
This can be done whether you have a job or not. There is some work that you can do that is not related to your job at all. For example, you can be a doctor and still work on some of the things around your home that need to be repaired or installed.

Work and job are two words that we often use interchangeably; this is because many of us things are exactly the same. However, these two words are not entirely the same. The word “work” is a general term that refers to the activities we do in our day to day life. This includes activities such as dancing, singing, cooking, studying, and playing, and so on.
Monetary compensation may or may not be present with work. Work is also used to describe a place where a person is employed. Example in a sentence: Peter hasn’t come home yet, he’s still at work. Job simply refers to an economic role in which a person is paid. It is also used to represent the position of a person in an organization. Monetary compensation is always present in a job.
