The amount of protein that a person needs will depend on the person’s overall physique. Most of the time, people would need 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of the person’s weight. A lot of people would need about 56 grams of protein for someone who is sedentary. This is a person who rarely does any exercise and is more likely to stay in his desk the whole day.
If you try to incorporate exercise to your normal daily routine, you would need to eat more protein. Those who work out regularly or those who are bodybuilding would need even more protein than usual to ensure that they will have the muscles that they want.
The amount of protein intake one needs to have per day depends on many things. In fact, the recommended one for men is a bit higher when compared to what is recommended for women. On average, a man needs 56 grams of protein per day. On the other hand, the average woman needs about 46 grams of protein per day. The above is just for men and women who will not be engaging themselves in any strenuous activity throughout the day.
This shows that a man who will be engaging in some activities will need more than the recommended 56 grams of protein per day. The same thing is applicable to women. Protein intake also depends on the current state of the individual's health. People with certain diseases may not need to take too much protein per day. The amount of protein intake also depends on muscle mass and age.
