Philosophy of science is the portion of philosophy that studies science. Both philosophy and science are born from human curiosity and child-like wonder. One-way philosophy affects science is by influencing the nature of scientific questions and the methods which are utilized to answer these questions. Philosophy, science, and religion are related in that they form the basis of humanity's search for truth.

Philosophy is often compared to science because both concepts are attempting to find answers about life and the universe. Both use logical deduction and reasoning as a tool in their quest for the truth. Also, science has been heavily rooted in philosophy.

Some people may become confused if philosophy should be considered a part of science. To a certain extent, there are some topics that are being tackled in the philosophy that may be considered to be related to science. There are instances when philosophy would require theories and methods in order to ease the thinking mind.

There are also times when people think that philosophy is more of an art because it also requires a creative mind in order to come up with potential solutions to the never-ending questions that people may have about the things that they encounter in life every single day. Take note that some believe that there are only some aspects of philosophy that can be related to science.

Both science and philosophy are two major branches of knowledge that are connected in some ways. I believe science and philosophy work hand in hand. Philosophy can be regarded as a comprehensive system of belief that longs after the truth through reasoning. If we look at the subject ''science'' very well, it was borne out of intuition about certain possibilities of life. Most of what is made through science are basically things that started as ideas through reasoning and eventually are made seen to people.

In the same vein, philosophy is also depending on a lot of scientific theories in a bid to arrive at some certain possibilities or truth of life. However, if we should consider the fact that philosophy is a body of knowledge that came earlier before science, then it will be greatly accepted regarding science as a part of philosophy. And that's why you will see subjects like the philosophy of science.
