To get rid of superstition in India won't be as easy as anyone might probably think. This is because most of these superstitions are age-long beliefs and their roots are mostly from religion. So, how do you intend to separate India from being religious? However, I think the possible way to get rid of superstition is to look into those things that are primarily causing superstitions.
One of the big factors is ignorance and illiteracy. If education can be highly encouraged, people will get familiar with the knowledge of science, and this will help guard their minds against any form untrue belief that doesn't have root in science. When people are educated, illiteracy and ignorance will disappear; people won't get easily deceived with superstitions that are mere fabrications. The issue of religion should also be regulated. People get to know the majority of these superstitions because they were built from different religious beliefs and practices.
