The fact that India is one of the most superstitious countries in the world does not mean those superstitions were built on lies or ignorance. There are indeed some of those superstitions that can be proven logically; all it requires is to sit down and think about the sense in them. While this may sound weird, researches have shown that it is possible for someone to develop eclipse blindness just by watching it, especially during solar eclipse formation. Another superstition that can be proven logically is that: a woman in her period shouldn't be allowed to do certain things like cooking. While there might not be any spiritual attachment to this belief, it simply means women need to rest during this period considering the fact most women pass through a lot during their period time.
