Why did One Direction members split?

The reason as to why One Direction took a hiatus in 2016 is one of the things people have been trying to unravel. The real reasons why One Direction split is not too difficult to figure out; in fact, each member of the band had on many occasions stated why they needed to split for a while. I think the first reason is that they wanted to have a life of their own where they could decide and have control over their time.

Since 2010 when One Direction started as a band, they have been released five albums; that is one album per year. This, according to them, was energy sapping and stressful. It was on this account that a member of the band by the name Zayn Malik left the group. He actually stated that he left because he wanted to enjoy his life and relax. Another reason for their breakup is that they all wanted to start their solo careers separately.
