How was One Direction formed?

It was in the seventh series of The X Factor, where Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik came to audition as solo singers. The X Factor is a reality television show in Great Britain, which was created by Simon Cowell to discover new singing talents. The show actually started in the year 2004. These five earlier mentioned guys could not make it individually to their show, and the judges of The X Factor series had to put them together to form a group.

This group was given the name ‘One Direction.’ They came out the third position in the series competition. After the competition has ended, Simon Cowell thought the guys were worth keeping and bringing together. So, he gathered them for continuity. After a few moments, they were signed to Syco Music, where they fully started their music career. Though it seems they have been silent recently, they are still coming back on stage soon.
