Is Rugby also called football?

Some people may assume that Rugby and Football are the same. Even if there are some similarities, there are also a lot of differences that should be noted. Rugby teams are known to be large. There are fifteen players who will be playing for each team which is different from how Football is played with only 11 players for each team.

The balls that are used for both types of sports are a bit similar to each other but the ends of the balls are a bit different. The ball used to play Rugby typically comes with flat ends while the ball that is used to play football will com with more rounded edges.
