New Zealand became the first team to ever win the first Rugby World Cup. At that time, there were only a few teams that competed. There were 16 nations that participated in the first-ever World Cup. The final two were New Zealand and France but it was obvious that New Zealand is the clear winner especially with the score of 29 to 9. This event occurred in Eden Park located in Auckland.
Four years later, another Rugby World Cup was started. It suddenly became the tradition that a lot of Rugby fans from all over the world are waiting for. There are instances when the World Cup will only be played in one country but in the first-ever World Cup, the matches happened in both New Zealand and Australia.
