What were the disadvantages of article 370?

There are many disadvantages to Article 370, which is why many people have been against it. One disadvantage was that Kashmir is able to act as if they are their own country, separate from India.

This is because they can make their own laws and rules. Another disadvantage is that when it comes to the jobs in Kashmir, it is not a level playing field. Only the people of that state can apply to jobs in that area. If a person outside of the state is interested in a job and qualifies, they will not be able to apply for it.

When Article 370 first came out, people were not sure if this was the best solution. People felt that it only made the state different from India. It can almost act like a separate country from the rest of India. There were some issues with India’s sovereignty among other constitutional issues.

Another disadvantage is that it can no longer be abrogated because the one who brought this into existence is not available anymore. At that time, Kashmir seems to be on a different league as compared to the rest of the country but now, this is not the case anymore. This means that Article 370 is no longer applicable to the state.
