Article 370 was created in 1954. The purpose of the article was to reduce the many disputes occurring in India, Pakistan, and China. Their dispute was about the state of Kashmir.
When it was first drafted, it was done so as provisional or temporary. Through the article, special privileges were given to those that were living in the state of Kashmir. Those include exclusive opportunities for employment and the ability to create their own rights and laws. It also allowed it to become a state of India while reducing the conflict and the possibility of war between the three countries.

Article 370 was incorporated back in 1954 in order to reduce the dispute that was happening with China, Pakistan, and India. This article was first drafted as temporary or provisional. This gives special privileges to those who are living in this state to have a separate constitution. The constitution that is being followed by the state is actually very exclusive because it made sure that this is a part of India but it has a different type of flag and constitution although there are still some limitations about the rules that they can create. This has been created primarily to improve the current state of India at that time.
There were so many things that were happening and Pakistan, India and China were fighting over Kashmir. This made it possible for the act to become a state of India and participate in government events while reducing the possibility of issues and war.
