The US Open finals were played in Montreal Canada Hard Courts for the Rogers Cup. Rafael Nadal from Manacor took first place over Daniil Medvedev from Moscow. Medvedev positioned in first place in five other tournaments this year, and Nadal took first place, including the Rogers Cup, making him #1 ranking in the world.
It is difficult to predict the winner because they could be behind in one of the rounds and then make a great showing in the final round. The two players were even in every round with the exception of the third round, where Nadal showed a slight edge over Medvedev and then, of course, the final round where Rafael took first place.
