What is the difference between Elk and Deer?

Some people may think that an elk and deer are the same but they have some differences that will make it easier for you to distinguish one from the other. The deer can be found almost everywhere. You can find one in the forest and the grasslands. They may have prominent antlers during the spring and the summer season. The elk is considered to be one of the species of the deer.

This is known to be very large. Some of the male elks can grow up to nine feet which can be a bit scary if you are seeing one for the first time. The sound that the elk makes is different from the other types of deer.
