These two words are similar and are often used interchangeably by many of us. The word “aim” means the point intended to hit. It refers to an object or level designed to be attained or affected. It is a long term plan. An example of this is: “My AIM in life is to make money to take care of my family and take care of everyone that comes my way.” When you aim for something you see, try to see a bigger picture of a particular situation in the future.

On the other hand, a goal is the desired result. It refers to the result that a person is attempting to achieve. It is the final point a person intends to reach. An example of this is: “Mary failed in her goal to become the captain.” Goals usually form the subset of an aim. I hope you find this information helpful.

A goal is known to be a target. This is the fruition of the results that you want to get. You need to remember that having a goal in mind can help you stay motivated. What makes a goal different from an aim? Your aim may refer to the bigger picture.

For example, you would like to make sure that you will invent something. You can have some goals that will allow you to reach what you are aiming for. You can create a few small goals that will help you reach what you are aiming for. The moment that you have reached your goals, you can get the job done and finally achieve your aim.

A goal is a set target that a person becomes motivated to achieve, while the aim is the definitive course a person sets to achieve an objective. A goal is the desired result a person wishes to complete, while it is a target someone wants to attain. Goals can be short or long term.

A goal is a chosen result that a person or system plans to achieve. The aim is the process of positioning yourself and your actions toward a goal or ambition, and the purpose is more of long-term engagement.
