Some people may assume that evaluating and analyzing are the same, but they have some differences too. When you say analyze this means that you need to break one concept into different parts to gain a better understanding of the item in general. When you say evaluating, this means that you are trying to come up with the reason why something is significant.

For example, the performance of employees is evaluated to see the significance of the employee for the company in the past months. An evaluation means that you are going to analyze something. You need to decide what the value of an item is and you will decide if what you are evaluating is good or bad. You can do this when you are looking into the performance of a student in a classroom. Did the student do well or not? Your decision will serve as your evaluation.

Analyzation means that you are doing more in-depth research about a certain detail of the product. For example, you would be analyzing the ability of the student to become creative. This is already called an analysis because you are looking into something that is more specific.

People would need to analyze and evaluate every day, but it seems that some people think that they are the same. They are analyzing means that you are thinking about the item. You may even be dissecting the item or the situation in your mind so that you can plan it further and understand how the situation works for you.

When you evaluate, you will usually think about all the things that have already occurred and come up with what learnings you have gathered from the experience. You typically use analyzation while you are still in the situation while you will use evaluation once the situation is done.
