A lot of people are confused between Star Trek and Star Wars because most people do not actually know the difference between the two. These are both different franchises, and while they deal with space, they have different characters. One of the obvious things that can be remembered about the two is that Star Wars deals with the wars that may happen in space.
There are some obvious conflicts with some of the characters in the series. Star Trek is about the voyage in space and the different things that people may encounter while there are there. Star Trek is also set in a very distant future that we will never know truly going to happen centuries from now.

Star Wars and Star Trek are two different franchises. They are not the same as many of us think. Star Wars bases its content on the fight between good and evil which is taking place far away on a planet. It is described as science fantasy. The first Star Wars movie was released on the 25th of May 1977. The idea of Star Wars was conceived by George Lucas.
On the other hand, Star Trek is science fiction. It was first introduced in 1966 as live-action TV series. It was created by Gene Roddenberry. The first Star Trek movie was released in 1976. Star Trek focuses more on space exploration rather than battles between good and evil. Hope you find this helpful.
These two franchises are very different from each other. The only similarity that they have is the setting. These two are both done in space. They have different characters and different stories. Some people may prefer one over the other. Some people say that Star Wars imitated Star Trek because Star Trek was released first.
People will also have different opinions on why they think one franchise is better than the other. They can even debate about it in various forums and pages. It will all lead down to people’s preferences and what they have loved first. People cannot be forced to like one franchise over the other.
Star Wars and Star Trek are commonly mistaken by people who are not familiar with them. To give enlightenment to those who are confused, Star Wars is mostly released in the theaters that are mostly about the war of good and evil. It is seen as a fantasy fiction or a space opera as George Lucas, the original creator, described it. Most known characters are the Jedi or the people that fight for the good and are using lightsabers, Darth Vader, he was a good man that turned to the dark side, and Luke Skywalker, the protagonist.
Star Trek is under science fiction and only aired on televisions. As the title suggests, Star Trek focuses more on space explorations. Scenes mostly happened inside a ship where the crew dealt with new problems and life forms every week.
