Spam is an unsolicited email and is also referred to as junk email or emailspam. Spam is normally sent to multiple emails at once. The increase of spamemails being sent started in the early 90s. A study in 2014 showed that almost 90% of emails that are sent are spamemails.
Most emails are harmless in nature, but when receiving spamemails, the receiver should be cautious in clicking the email or the links that are in them. This is because those links could add a virus to their computer or have the ability to gather confidential information from their email.
