Patriot’s Day is spelled Patriots’ Day in Maine. This is known to be a civic holiday and its main goal is to make sure that the Battles of Lexington and Concorde are remembered. This is also observed in Wisconsin which means that people know what this is but they do not consider it as a national holiday.
Unlike in Maine and Massachusetts wherein people do not have work for that day and most of the establishments are closed, Wisconsin will still continue with their usual business while remembering the event. Another fun fact is that it happens on different dates every year. It just falls on the third Monday of April which can change depending on the year.
