Ganesh Chaturthi is a type of celebration wherein the birth of Ganesha is being celebrated. This is a Hindu festival with a lot of participants probably because Ganesha is considered to be a very important god. This usually falls in the month of August or September.
This is different every year depending on the Gregorian Calendar. People celebrate this not only by engaging in prayer but also by placing the clay statue of Ganesha inside their homes and even in private places. People also submerge the clay pots in the river according to their tradition. People usually chant different Vedic hymns and Hindu texts in the process.
