Two terms which are usually used in tandem, and under the context of the mistreatment of children are abuse and neglect. Abuse can be physical, mental, sexual, or even spiritual. Misuse of power is often a factor in child abuse and neglect, and it contributes to the harmful or violent aspect of the mistreatment of the child. There are many symptoms of child abuse.
These include bruises, fractures, burns, and even poisoning. Much like abuse, neglect can also inflict harm to small kids. This harm can be physical neglect, educational neglect, emotional neglect, and it may even go as far as neglecting the medical needs of children.
