One of the main differences between the north and south pole is their location but they will still have other differences than that. Both places are known to be extremely cold but the temperature in the south pole is known to be colder as compared to the north pole. The north pole is known to come with more flatlands while the south pole is known to be more mountainous.
The ice in the north pole is a few meters thick but the ice is expected to be even thicker in the south pole. The north pole does not have any mineral deposits while the south pole is rich in various mineral deposits. The type of animals that live in these places may also differ.
The North Pole is sometimes referred to as the arctic pole, and it is situated at the northernmost location of the planet. It is positioned at the Arctic Ocean and is seen to be encircled by land. Plants and animals are abundant in the North Pole or at the Arctic regions. The South pole lies on a massive portion of land, the Atlantic continent, and an ocean surrounds it.
Unlike the North pole, the South is relatively elevated. It has several mountain ranges and is typically elevated 9,300 feet beyond sea level. There are fewer floras in the South compared to the North. It is colder in the South pole than it is in the North.
