Cyber security is about how to secure our data or how to present our personal data(sometimes called privacy) like a website authentication, authorization.
But network security is all about how to secure our internet or intranet, like if we take an example of banks then how we secure link between ATM and data center, either we use VPNs gateways firewalls and even antivirus installed on a server is responsible for the network security.
Cybersecurity is a subset of information security that deals with protecting an organization's internet-connected systems from potential cyberattacks, and network security is a subset of cybersecurity that is focused on protecting an organization's IT infrastructure from online threats.
What a lot of people do not realize is that these two are subsets of each other but they are not completely the same. Cybersecurity will make sure that different internet-connected systems will be safe from the potential attacks that are going to occur. Network security is more focused on making sure that hacking will not take place. They protect the network from being infiltrated by potential hackers that may get into the system.
In order to provide the right cybersecurity, you need to make sure that you will keep all of your apps and website up-to-date. Network security will require passwords to be changed from time to time. Passwords should also be more complicated so that they will be harder to access.
A network consists of two or more interconnected computers that share devices and information. They may access a more massive computer which contains all of the company's data. Cybersecurity involves technologies and processes to protect computers, networks, programs, and data from being broken into or hacked. These unspecified attacks may invade systems of businesses, government, and financial institutions.
Network security involves keeping data and equipment secure, whereas Cybersecurity protects the Internet connection and beyond. Cybersecurity may be divided into four tasks. These include Network Protection, End User Education, Information Security, and Application Security. Those in charge of Cybersecurity develop software to protect these networks.
