Bullying is the act of oppressing or intimidating a weaker person so that the person can feel threatened and ultimately do what we want the person to do through repeated coercion. Bullying is also an act of abusing someone, whether verbally, physically, and emotionally. Bullying can take different forms, and it can be done by a single person or by a group. Bullying is not only about threatening to beat or kill people. This is mostly done by people in higher places; they often see their positions as a means of oppressing their subjects so that they can fear them. Examples of places where people can easily bully you are school, marketplace, religious centers, workplace, etc.

Cyberbullying, on the other hand, is also similar to the earlier explanation for bullying, just that cyberbullying describes the type that occurs through the use of technology like phones, online messages, and emails. Invariably, cyberbullying is a type that occurs via the use of the internet.

Bullying can be defined as using fear, control, or intimidation tactics on another individual by misusing power and authority. Bullying could include everything from physical, verbal, emotional, or spiritual abuse. Bullying occurs in various contexts and different magnitudes. Cyberbullying, on the other hand, occurs through the usage of technology in the cyberspace.

With face to face bullying, the guilty party can be easily identified, but in cyberbullying, this can prove to be complicated. Action can be taken with face to face bullies, but it is almost impossible to hold a cyberbully accountable successfully. People of any age or gender can be victims of bullying. It can occur everywhere from school to the professional workplace. However, victims of cyberbullying are usually limited to youth. Cyberbullying may involve sending threats or comments of a sexual nature.
