Mean and median are two terms in mathematics. Both are mostly gotten through calculations and the calculations are very simple when you know the right formula or method to use. Mean sometimes means the average of a given distribution. Median, on the other hand, means the middle value in a given distribution. To calculate the mean of a given set of numbers, you will first add all the numbers in the set divided by the total number of summands. For example, 2, 6,5,3,6,5,4,9,6,4,8. The mean for this set of numbers can be gotten by dividing 55 by 11 and the answer is 5. To calculate the median from the same set of numbers. You will first arrange the numbers in ascending or descending other, after which you locate the middle number. By this rearrangement, the median is 5
