CNA and MA are two examples of professions in the healthcare system. CNA is the acronym for Certified Nursing Assistants, while MA is the acronym for Medical Assistants. At times people find it difficult to differentiate with the two professions. Clearly, this is partly due to the fact that both have a lot of similarities in common. Both CNA and MA are saddled with the responsibility or tasks like checking of blood pressure, temperature, the current weight of the patients; they can even advise a patient as to how they are to be using various medications prescribed by the doctor.
However, in a proper medical setting, only the certified nursing assistant is allowed to be having bedside manner with the patients, and this is mostly done in the presence of a registered nurse. A medical assistant can also do this, but only on the directive of the doctor. CNAs have more prospect of being employed very easily compared to MAs
