CKC, which stands for continental kennel club, and AKC, which stands for American kennel club are clubs that deal with registering dog's breed. They offer the same service, but they surely have their differences. AKC is the first established one between these two, as they have been registering dogs since the year 1880, while CKC started in the year 1991, and they have made the dog registration service highly competitive because of the new offers that accomplish their service.
Though these two registry offers quality service, they have slight differences in their mode of operation. AKC does not just register new breeds; their parent dog must have been registered earlier before they register a new breed. In the case of CKC, it is not really so. CKC registers new breed dogs so far they can find at least two eye witness to the confirmation of the new breed, and they have their pictures (about three) taken.
