Nikon D800 and D800E are two examples of DSLR camera, and both come with a 36-megapixel sensor. Although both are similar in terms of specifications, there is a particular difference between them. Nikon D800 is equipped with anti-aliasing filter whereas D800E does not have this feature. The Anti-aliasing filter is placed before the sensor so that it can create a blurring effect on the picture produced. Although the blurring might not be good for the picture, it is necessary to prevent the formation of moire.
Moire is like a colorful wavy pattern that looks like when oil is spilled on water. The anti-aliasing filter will prevent this, though it will also reduce the quality of the picture. However, in terms of the quality of image, Nikon D800E produces more quality image than Nikon D800 due to the absence of anti-aliasing filter. Another difference is that Nikon D800 can be used for so many purposes, while Nikon D800E is mostly used for landscape photography.
