Does selfie distort your face?

When you place your phone camera by a distance of 8 inches away from your face, you are more likely to have face distortion. Face distortion simply means a part of your face, specifically nose, becomes larger and most times by 30 percent than it appears in real life.

People who take selfies within this distance are more likely to experience this, and it is because the camera can easily increase the size of something, especially when the object is at a close range. For example, the nose will be closer than the rest of the face. However, you won't experience any form of face distortion when the camera is placed a little bit away from you.
