Making a long-distancerelationship work is a lot of work itself. It doesn't always work for most people, but there is always a way to go about it. The journey to achieve this always starts with putting a lot of things in place, which will make the relationship looks as though you are not far from each other. The first thing to work on is communication. Communication is very important in a relationship. And when I say communication, I don't mean excessive communication. This may be counterproductive; in fact, you may not have the resources to sustain this. Set out quality time to talk about things that really matter to your relationship, and you should also have time to joke about some things.
Set rules for yourselves, and you should be ready to stick with them. List out some things you don't expect your partner to engage in. For instance, both of you should know that you shouldn't go on dates with people at your respective places because chances are you might start developing an interest in those people. Also, you should do things together; always carry yourselves along on anything you are doing.
A long-distance relationship is always known to be complicated for a lot of individuals. Some people say that they cannot survive this type of relationship because they cannot imagine not meeting with the person for long periods.
This will always depend on the two people who are involved, but you can allow an LDR relationship to flourish if you trust each other. If you know that you will still be together after everything that has occurred, and if your love is more significant than all of the trials that you may face, the relationship will become stronger.
