Institute and university are both citadels of learning where students are imparted with theoretical and practical knowledge in order to build them so they can build the society. These two learning institutions have their differences. University is a wide learning institution where students learn, though, concentrating on a particular field, which varies from engineering to nursing, business management, arts, and so on. The university is a tertiary institution that provides for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
This is the highest form of the academic institution available presently in the world. Examples of universities include the Harvard University in the United States, Oxford University in the United Kingdom, and lot more. On the other, Institute is another learning institution established by the government or a particular society so as to impact some particular skills into them. This will make them also contribute to the betterment of society. It is not as large as the university, and it offers just certifications and diplomas.
