Ephedrine and amphetamine are stimulant substances; they increase the rate of performance of all body systems like heart rate, alertness, blood pressure, and lot more. Ephedrine was discovered by a Japanese chemist in Japan whose name is Nagayoshi Nagai in the year 1885.
This stimulant is extracted from the plant genus called "ephedra." On the other hand, amphetamine was discovered in Berlin, Germany, by a Romanian chemist in the year 1887. This drug has been widely abused by people. In the Asia continent, specifically in China, ephedrine is used in curing lung ailments such as asthma and bronchitis.
This drug expands the bronchioles, thus causing breathing to be easier. It is also used to reduce body weight by promoting excretion. The US Coast Guards use it as a cure for seasickness. Amphetamine is primarily used to fight narcolepsy and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). This drug also aids some neurotransmitters, which makes the human system more awake and alert.
