JSP and JavaScript are common terms in computer technology. JavaScript is a dynamic language used in computer programming. Due to its lightness in weight in terms of data, it is the most popular choice in web pages. It also allows interaction between the client and the server as it is also designed to create network-centric applications. It is complementary with HTML and JAVA which are also most common in pages on the web.

JSP, or JavaServer Pages, on the other hand, is a technology to develop web pages that can support dynamic content. Web developers write JSPs in text files form to combine HTML or XHTML code to embed JSP actions and commands. It also allows collecting input from users through different web page forms to create dynamic web pages. This is usually used when creating business-related pages.
