A Ph.D. is something that can be received when someone who graduates from a doctorate degree in Psychology. PsyD is different. This is the practice of preparing different students to become aware of the clinical setting. Getting a Ph.D.
means that the person has studied something different and has also done a lot of research in the process. Those who would like to focus on PsyD is usually more focused on clinical practice as compared to research. Some people would rather take a PsyD as compared to a Ph.D. because this does not take up too much time. There are also fewer research courses that are available which also means less statistics-related courses.
