ICT and IT are two different fields, but both deal with information technology. ICT is the acronym for Information Communication Technology, while IT is the acronym for Information Technology. ICT is mostly used in academics to facilitate the ease at which students get information as they go about learning and carrying out researches in their various fields. ICT simply means the creation of computer systems and applications to move data around a computer network and delivering internet services between the server and the users.
The use of ICT has increased the level of information that a person can get familiar with. IT, on the other hand, is more or less an industry whereby computers, applications, software, and other materials are used to help shape and conduct the transmission and consumption of information in a very modern way. Information technology is so much needed by companies, organizations, and even individuals to improve public knowledge about their various services.
