There are only a few countries that celebrate Friendship Day as a recognized holiday. Even though they may be recognized, that doesn’t mean that people get off of work or school usually because Friendship Day is not a national or federal holiday. Instead, it is merely a recognized day that people like to celebrate time with friends.
The countries that celebrate Friendship Day are Argentina, Brazil, Bangladesh, Finland, Estonia, India, Paraguay, Peru, United States, and the United Arab Emirates. The other countries, including England, France, Sweden, Canada, Chile, Netherlands, and Australia, are just a few countries that do not celebrate Friendship Day. Other countries that do not celebrate Friendship Day seem to be many countries in Africa and a few in Europe.
