Some may assume that certain medical conditions are the same as bronchitis and pneumonia, but these are different conditions. Bronchitis is the condition wherein your bronchial tubes which are responsible for making sure that your lungs will have a lot of air will be inflamed, so air will find it harder to reach the lungs. Pneumonia is not the infection of your bronchial tubes.

Bronchitis and pneumonia are caused by inflammation of the lungs. Bronchitis is more often viral, while pneumonia is bacterial. Bronchitis occurs mostly after middle age, and it cannot usually be prevented by those who are at risk. Pneumonia, on the other hand, can be averted by the appropriate measures. Bronchitis is an inflammation of the mucous membranes of the bronchi and can be either acute or chronic.

Pneumonia and bronchitis are different medical conditions that affect the respiratory system. Pneumonia is an acute or chronic inflammation of the lungs. It can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or other microorganisms. Physical or chemical irritants can also cause pneumonia.

A person with pneumonia is likely to present with other symptoms such as fever, headache, chest pain, and so on. Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchi of the lungs (the breathing tubes that connect to the lungs). It can be caused by bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms. Other irritants such as cigarette smoke can cause bronchitis.

Pneumonia occurs when one or both of the lungs are infected. It is also caused by bacteria, as well as viruses and fungi. The main source of pneumonia is through the air, when one sneezes or coughs. Knowing the difference between the two is critical to getting the proper treatment and feeling better.
