CFA and CFP are terms used in finance. CFA and CFP are the short forms of Certified Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Planner. CFA is a title bestowed on you by the Association for Investment Management and Research, and you get this after writing like three examinations which are mostly on accounting, money management, economics, and security analysis.

CFP, on the other hand, is the title bestowed on you by the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners once you have passed the examination conducted by the body.
