Melting phase and freezing phase are two physical properties of substances. Phase changes are developments that include energy release or energy gain. At the melting point and freezing point, phase changes occur. The melting point is the temperature at which a solid will change into a liquid state. The freezing point is the coldness at which a fluid will change its state into a solid. When the snow melts, it is turned into a liquid.
When water freezes, it turns into ice. At the melting point, entropy increases. At freezing point, entropy decreases. The meaning of entropy is the disorder of things so the entropy would increase, and the molecules move faster when the temperature is rising and would slow down when the temperature decreases towards freezing.
