Both iTunes and iCloud are mobile management applications developed by Apple exclusively for the ios based devices. They are both services that are used to back up your most important data, such as images, music, documents, and settings. The main difference between the two is that iTunes is a mobile management application that stores and organizes the digital content on your ios device, whereas iCloud is a cloud-based storage service that stores all your essential stuff and keeps it in sync with your Mac and Mobile devices.
iTunes backup is done manually by connecting your device to your PC using a sync cable. iCloud backup is done automatically when the device is connected to Wi-Fi. iTunes stores data on the computer. iCloud stores information in iCloud.
