Sedans and SUVs are two types of cars. Between the two, SUV's have been around much longer. They have been on the market since the 1930s, while sedans have been around since the 20th century. Both sedans and SUV's have four wheels and four doors, but how they differ is the type of clearance each has.
Sedans have a clearance that is low ground. SUVs have a clearance that is high ground. Another difference between them is the number of compartments each has. Sedans have three compartments, which are the engine, passenger, and cargo areas. SUVs only have two, which are the engine and the passenger and cargo combined into one.

A sedan is a type of passenger vehicle that has four wheels, four doors, and low ground clearance. An SUV is a type of car that has four wheels, and four doors but a high ground clearance. Sedans have been on the market since the 20th century; however, SUV’s have been on the market since the 1930s. Sedans have three components, with the engine component located at the front end, the passenger area in the middle, and the cargo component at the rear end. SUV’s have two compartments with the engine compartment in the front, and the combined passenger and cargo compartment.
