These two are known to be types of paralysis that people may go through. Those who have paraplegia will have no function of both their legs. These are people who usually need to get around in a wheelchair because they do not have control over their legs. Those who have quadriplegia are those who do not have any control of both their arms and their legs. Quadriplegic people may not usually move at all.
Some of them are already bedridden because it is only their heads and necks that they can move. People may become paraplegics or quadriplegics depending on their lifestyle, their genes because of the condition that they have maybe something that they are born with. Some become paraplegics or quadriplegics because of some accidents.
Paraplegia and quadriplegia are known to be two types of paralysis. When a person experiences paralysis in the bottom half of his body, this is called paraplegia. This person will not be able to move both of his legs. A quadriplegic is someone who experiences paralysis in both the upper and lower portion of the body.
This means that aside from being unable to move his legs, he is also not able to move his arms. One of the reasons why these types of paralysis may occur is because of injury to the spinal cord. There are some people who may undergo therapy but there are not enough medical interventions that will make it possible for people to recover 100%.
