Some people may interchangeably use plasma and serum without realizing that these two are very different from each other. Plasma is responsible for making sure that the blood will clot. This means that if you get some scratches or wounds, the plasma will work in trying to stop the bleeding so that you will not bleed to death.
Some may think that serum refers to the sort of liquid that you will place on your face so that you can maintain your youth but actually, this is also a part of the blood. This is the more liquid portion of the blood that will ensure that this will flow towards the other parts of the body.
Plasma and serum may seem to be the same but they are different. Plasma is known to be a part of the blood that contains some blood clotting agent that will be effective in making sure that when people get some cuts and wounds, the blood will clot properly. The serum is known to be the fluid part of the blood.
This is considered to be the more liquid part of the blood. This will ensure that the blood will flow throughout the body, as needed. There are some tests that will separate the serum and the plasma from each other. This may sometimes be done in order to test the blood.
