IMovie and Final Cut are often used to edit videos by those who have some technical skills and professional knowledge. Both of them have a timeline, preview window, and advanced editing options. Anyway, it's more suitable for professionals. For new starters, Joyoshare Media Cutter, Bandicut and more are better.

Both of them are good at editing videos audios. However, some features are advanced to operate in a complex way for our beginners.

These two are both used in order to edit the videos that you have created. iMovie comes with a limited number of effects and transitions that you can greatly when you are editing your own video. Final Cut comes with more effects and transitions.

You can save the video that you will make with Final Cut in a separate file from the video that you have edited. Final Cut comes with more options but it may be harder to understand as compared to iMovie which also has a simple interface. IMovie is recommended when you are a beginner while Final Cut is recommended if you have already done a lot of editing in the past.
